My preformed rough slabs have all or most of the pits and open fractures removed and the front and back smoothed to produce a more acceptable slab for you to finish as a cab or specimen.

Material: Montana Agate, Brazilian Agate, Amethyst Sage

Characteristics: All natural, preformed to help make it easier for you to finish. Nice size for cabs or cut down for rings or finish and keep as specimens, scarce and unique rough preformed slabs. Only 1 pit on the back of the Brazilian agate, Montana Agate shows a fracture line on the back of the slab, all translucent. These will make beautiful finished cabs.

Montana Agate, 23 x 40 x 4 mm, 47.5 ct.
Brazilian Agate, 30 x 43 x 6, mm, 67 ct.
Amethyst Sage, 33 x 40 x 5 mm, 74.5 ct.

An 18 mm dime 10 mm background squares in some pictures should help you with image sizing.

Finishing purchased slabs: My recommendation, start with 325 diamond grit and finish with 600 grit before polishing. I have created several posts that show how I create cabs, see my website blogs on Designsbyshirl.com.

I use a full spectrum 45 w light bulb - photography photo CFL 5500K. It's a daylight balanced pure white light.

My first 2 pictures show the slabs wet, this brings out the colors you should see in a finished product. Other pictures show items dry, this should show imperfections if there are any. Translucent items will have at least one picture taken with a backlight.
