Eudialyte Rare Designer Cabochon

Origin: Kola Peninsula, Russia.

Colors: pink crystal, black and gray matrix.

Material: Sedimentary rock containing flashy pink crystals.

Approx size: 28 x 42 x 7 mm, Weight: 69 ct.

Characteristics: Irregular shape, preformed to make it easier for you to cab or finish for a specimen, unfinished, scarce material.  This will make a nice cabochon or keep as a specimen.  

The mineral’s colors are quite pleasant and give the collector an all-together attractive and rare mineral. It can show distinctive colors of a red-violet, pink, blue, yellow and an attractive brown. Eudialyte complex is zirconium silicate , sodium and calcium. It includes various rare earth elements .  Eudialyte forms crystals , but is more often observed in the form of granular precipitates of apatite and nepheline. 

Eudialyte was discovered first in the Julianehaab district of Greenland in 1819, but now most of the Eudialyte on the market  comes from the Kola Peninsula in the northern part of Russia.  Other locations where eudialyte is found include Mont Saint-Hilaire, Quebec, Canada, Kangerdluarsuk , Greenland; the Langesundfjord region of Norway; Madagascar and Magnet Cove, Arkansas, USA.  My rough came from Russia.

Eudialyte is a stone of the heart! It brings harmony into the heart matters, and dispels jealousy. As Eudialyte combines pink and red, it also brings the root and heart chakras into alignment, as well as activating the heart chakra. Emotionally it is helpful for learning to trust oneself and others.


First 2 picture show the items wet, this brings out the colors you should see in a finished product. Other pictures show items dry which will show any imperfections.

An 18 mm dime and 10 mm background squares in some pictures should help you with image sizing.
