My preformed rough slabs have all or most of the pits and open fractures removed and the front and back smoothed to produce a more acceptable slab for you to finish as a cab or specimen.


Rutilated Quartz preformed rough slabs

Origin: Brazil,South America

Characteristics: Preformed rough slabs, internal rutilated quartz, no pits or open fractures. There are some internal inclusions which I can't identify, it's hard to tell how they will show in a finished cab. I think both of these slabs will produce a beautiful cab or just finish and keep as a specimen.

Approx size: 26 x 16 x 5 mm, weight: 21.6 ct and 25 x 15 x 5 mm, weight: 21.1 ct.

This material came from Brazil. Rutilated quartz contains needle like rutile (a titanium dioxide mineral). The rutile needles can be reddish, golden, silvery, or on very rare occasions, green.
