Rare Snakeskin agate, not the white agate type you can see on the internet but the same rare type that was around more than 20 years ago.

Snakeskin agate is suppose to make you jump if you were reaching for a rock, if you saw one like this one I think I would jump back. This is just a small chunk but it has the look. Most snakeskin agates online are small and tumbled, removing the snakeskin outer skin. They end up similar to the chalcedony in this one, just a translucent reddish brown chalcedony with inclusions. The makeup of the snakeskin is a botryoidal spiderweb pattern giving it the appearance of snakeskin. Colors are yellow, reddish brown, and off white. All pictures taken dry.

This is a fantastic specimen, especially if you don't have one. I've only seen this material once before and it was a small pebble with just a small amount of outer snakeskin.
