Victorville Black Jade pendant

I created this designer pendant during my first lesson on learning how to electroplate and and create a special pendant. This rare black jade from Victorville, Calif. was the focal stone and I added a top grade 7x14 trillion Amethyst as an offset. The back is a mirror polished sterling silver. The bail will accommodate a 6mm chain or cord. I electroplated the magnetite in the stone with 24kg.

Approx size: 1 1/8" x 2" x 7 mm. Weight: 21.1 g.

This black jade is another material that is seldom seen for sale. The government closed off the digging site years ago. The 25' hole getting to the jade was completely filled in.
