Mahogany Obsidian lapidary slab shaped and prefinished, 1 pit on the back, no fractures, flat and smooth on all sides, natural (25255)

I prefinished this slab by removing ugly pits and fractures and trimmed away anything that didn't look good. I shaped it and gave it a final 1200 diamond grit sanded smooth finish. Based on their physical makeup some end up with a really nice shine, sometimes like a mirror. If I have to leave anything in, like pits or fractures, I will mention them in the below description. This slab is nice enough to use in your designer jewelry or in your collection.

MAHOGANY OBSIDIAN lapidary slab, shaped and prefinishedc, natural glass obsidian that has iron inclusions creating the mahogany colored stripes or swirls. comes from many areas where volcanic activity took place, this material came from Northern Calif. It was cut from a large iridescent slab., the back side does show some iridescence.
