I prefinished this slab by removing ugly pits and fractures and trimmed away anything that didn't look good. I shaped it and gave it a final 1200 diamond grit sanded smooth finish. Based on their physical makeup some end up with a really nice shine, sometimes like a mirror. If I have to leave anything in, like pits or fractures, I will mention them in the below description. This slab is nice enough to use in your designer jewelry or in your collection.

SLAB DISCRIPTION:
CHRYSOCOLLA and CUPRITE preformed slab, all natural, smoothed and finished with 1200 diamond grit. There is some surface fracturing, most of them filled in with a gray metallic substance, most likely silver sulfide (check out the last picture). Origin: Arizona

Chrysocolla is commonly found in copper-rich areas, while silver is associated with specific deposits, often in the form of argentite (silver sulfide).
Cuprite is a soft, heavy, red oxide mineral (Cu2O) that is an important ore of copper.
Chrysocolla is also a secondary copper mineral (CuSiO3·2H2O) formed in the oxidation zones of copper ore deposits.
