These lapidary slabs were preformed, shaped and sanded smooth and given a final 1200 grit shine.  They are nice enough to be used asis for jewelry or kept as a specimen or collectable.  We prefinish our slabs by trimming away anything that doesn't look good, and we give it a final 1200 grit sanded smooth finish. They end up with a nice glow or bright shine, sometimes a mirror shine.

It's hard to take pictures that show the true beauty of the slabs, we know you will be pleased if you make a purchase. If the slab is displayed on a plastic stand it is included free of charge..

PREFORMED SLAB DESCRIPTIONS:

4 medium preformed lapidary slabs, prefinished and ready to use asis. These slabs are ideal for pendants or keep them as specimens. All sides are 1200 grit smooth, not totaly finished. I preformed these slabs to make it easier for you to finish. If I have to leave in any flaws, like pits or fractures, I will add that info in their descriptions.

VICTORVILLE BLACK JADE (Nephrite with magnetite), preformed slab, 15.5 x 57 x 3.5 mm, 48.5 ct, natural, rectangle shape, black nephrite and gray magnetite. This example doesn't have a strong magnetite so electroplating may not produce the best looking electroplated example. The digging site near Victorville, Calif. is on public land. The government filled in the mining hole (which was over 15 feet deep), they claimed it was to dangerous to mine.

CACOXENITE, 32 x 10 x 6.5 mm, 23.5 ct. Preformed and prefinished into a designer shape, This gorgeous old material from Brazil has needle like golden fibers (Geothite, which is mis-named Cacoxenite). This material was found mined in the early 1960's. I've heard that the mine in Brazil is no longer producing this material. This type of stone is highly sought after for metaphysical reasons. It is associated with the name Super 7 or Mandy's Stone in your Metaphysical world.

TIGER EYE, 17 x 43 x 5.5 mm, 58.5 ct, Preformed and prefinished into a designer shape. Natural colors. sanded and shaped, ready to finish into a cabochon or use asis, it was finished with 1200 diamond grip and and has a nice shine. Origin: Africa

MISTY MOUNTAIN PICTURE JASPER, (6-20) x 38 x 5 mm, 32 ct. preformed and prefinished, triangle shape, rolling hills, soft mixed colors of pink, blue, magenta and brown, hardness 7.5-8. This material is mined by hand in Madagascar, usually in big boulders so it ican be scarce in the marketplace. Another name for this material is Savannah Jasper.

Use my pictures with the 10 x 10 mm background squares and the 18 mm dime to help with size visualization. All pictures show a slab that has been given a nice glow or bright polish using 600-1200 diamond grit.,

I do my best in removing all the pits and open fractures and I smooth all sides. I will note anything I couldn't remove. Your going to get a slab that is going to be easy to finish or use asis. If your going to make a cab you will find it a lot easier with my slabs. No waste to deal with.
