Chalcosiderite shaped & prefinished slab, natural colors, natural stone, use asis, finished with 1200 grit 25244

I prefinished this slab by removing ugly pits and fractures and trimmed away anything that didn't look good. I shaped it and gave it a final 1200 diamond grit sanded smooth finish. Based on their physical makeup some end up with a really nice shine, sometimes like a mirror. If I have to leave anything in, like pits or fractures, I will mention them in the below description. This slab is nice enough to use in your designer jewelry or in your collection.

SLAB DESCRIPTION:

Origin: Lander County, Nevada

Chalcosiderite is neither variscite nor turquoise, but it is a related mineral and a member of the Turquoise Group, It looks alot like this small slab. It's often found alongside turquoise and variscite, and just as beautiful and unique. I can't really determine what it is, most likely Chalcosiderite.

The New Lander mine, Damele mine, and Colorback mine are known for producing chalcosiderite with distinctive spiderweb matrix. This slab probably came from one of those mines. I purchased some rough at an estate sale and the tag said it came from New Lander County.

I preformed the slab shaping and polishing it, I finished with 1200 diamond grit, all sides are flat, natural color, natural stone, all sides are flat, natural color, natural stone, small slab, ready to use in jewelry or put on display, plastic stand included. Power scope shows a lot small pitting on the front and back. Lots of gray spiderwebs on the back and gray matrix. Origin: Nevada
