Rutilated Smoky Quartz cabochon, all sides flat, 1200 grit mirror finish, multi rutiles, designer shape, no pits, no fractures (25177)

I created a smooth slab, gave it a beautiful shine and converted it into a cabochon with a flat front, back and sides. It has a smooth surface no pits or fractures making it suitable for jewelry or a specimen. We prefinish our lapidary slabs by trimming away anything that doesn't look good, and we give it a final 1200 diamond grit sanded smooth finish. Based on their makeup, they end up with a nice glow, or a bright or mirror shine. If I have to leave anything in, like pits or fractures, I will mention them in the below description.

CAB DESCRIPTION:

RUTILATED SMOKY QUARTZ cabochon, the rutiles color looks to me as a soft golden in Smoky Quartz. At the bottom of the cab there is a clump of rutiles, this is a beautiful example that shows where the rutile is growing from. No pits or fractures. It has a 1200 grit mirror finish. Some rutiles break the surface of the cab creating a line or pit, you can see these in the pictures, I have reduced this from happening with my sanding. This fine example will look great in your specimen cabinet.
