These lapidary slabs were preformed, shaped and sanded smooth and given a final 1200 grit shine.  They are nice enough to be used asis for jewelry or kept as a specimen or collectable.  We prefinish our slabs by trimming away anything that doesn't look good, and we give it a final 1200 grit sanded smooth finish with a nice glow or bright shine, sometimes a mirror shine.  It's hard to take pictures that show the true beauty of the slabs, we know you will be pleased if you make a purchase. If the slab is displayed on a plastic stand it is included free of charge.

My shipping charge is $4.99, it doesn't matter how many items you purchase. It includes insurance for lost mail.

PREFORMED SLAB DESCRIPTION:

RUTILATED QUARTZ

Reddish Titanium rutiles in Smoky Quartz. Beautiful example of showing where the rutile is coming from (growth from the bottom). No pits or fractures. As a pendant or specimen it will stand out in your collection. It has a 1200 grit mirror finish but probably could be better with a nice polish. Use it asis and display it on the included stand. The bottom right on the back show rutiles at the surface, I don't see any fractures in this fine example.

Biggs Picture Jasper comes from Biggs Junction, Oregon where the famous Blue Biggs jasper was found in a road cut. The area where it was found is now a park and it's paved over, making it inaccessible for digging. Its hardness is about 7 on the Moh's scale. Biggs Jasper is a semiprecious stone .

Jasper is the mystical birthstone for October. Fancy Jasper such as Biggs is sometimes used to help with depression or when something is bothering you. Darker colored Jasper is said to be more grounded and can be used for protection.

All pictures show a slab that has been given a nice glow or bright polish using up to 1200 diamond grit, some even have a mirror polish.

I try to eliminate all the pits and open fractures and I smooth all sides. I will note anything I couldn't remove. Your going to get a slab that is going to be easy to finish as a cab or use asis. If your going to make a cab you will find it a lot easier with my slabs. Also no waste to deal with.
