These lapidary slabs were preformed, shaped and sanded smooth and given a final 1200 grit shine.  They are nice enough to be used asis for jewelry or kept as a specimen or collectable.  We prefinish our slabs by trimming away anything that doesn't look good, and we give it a final 1200 grit sanded smooth finish with a nice glow or bright shine, sometimes a mirror shine.  It's hard to take pictures that show the true beauty of the slabs, we know you will be pleased if you make a purchase. If the slab is displayed on a plastic stand it is included free of charge.

SLAB DESCRIPTIONS:

INDIAN BLOODSTONE preformed smoothed and shaped lapidary slab, dark green with white quartz and very small flecks of blue and red, ready to finish, flat back and front, 27 x 41 x 6 mm, 84 ct., rectangle shape, no pits or fractures, black plastic stand included.

Use my pictures with the 10 x 10 mm background squares and the 18 mm dime to help with size visualization. All pictures show a slab that has been given a nice glow or bright finish using 600-1200 diamond grit, some even have a mirror finish.

I try to eliminate all the pits and open fractures and I smooth all sides. I will note anything I couldn't remove. Your going to get a slab that is going to be easy to finish or use asis. I preform the slabs by sanding and shaping them with 120 to 600 diamond grit and sometimes up to 1200 grit, by removing all grit lines before the next stage in sanding gives the slab a superior looking finish and makes it ready for the next step. My preform really helps you cut down the time it takes you to finish these slabs. No waste to deal with.
