SLAB DESCRIPTION:

RUTILATED SMOKY QUARTZ slab, preformed lapidary slab, 29 x 16 x 7.5 mm, 30.5 ct,,ready to finish, designer shaped, Titanium rutiles, natural, no enhancements. This will make a beautiful cabochon with very little effort.

Front and back All sides polished, I had to remove several fractures so this is how it turned out. White dots in the pictures are caused by some inclusions that I think are clumps of rutiles that are touching the surface of the stone, these inclusions can be seen in the first picture which is taken with a back light. A light sanding should remove the ones touching the surface. No internal fractures and only a coluple of small pits which could be removed with a light sanding. Origin: Brazil

Use my pictures with the 10 x 10 mm background squares and the 18 mm dime to help with size visualization. All pictures are taken dry.

I eliminate most of the pits and open fractures and I smooth all sides. In the descriptions I will note anything I couldn't remove. You get a slab that is going to be easy to finish. I preform the slabs by sanding and shaping them with 120 to 180 diamond grit. My preform really helps you cut down the time it takes you to finish my slabs. No waste to deal with..
