Preformed rough slabs: My slabs have all or most of the pits and fractures removed and all sides smoothed with 180 diamond grit. This produces a better looking slab and makes it easier for you to produce multiple cabs and/or a finished specimen.


4 preformed rough lapidary slabs

Nephrite, 20 x 25 x 6 mm, weight:43.5 ct. translucent, origin unknown.

Chrysocolla, 23 x 33 x 8 mm, weight: 47 ct. origin unknown, 2 very small pits and white matrix showing

Rhodochrosite, 21 x 28 x 3.5, weight: 30.5 ct, origin: Argentina, Finished cab, naturally sealed fracture line (can be seen in pictures), translucent, strange light and dark coloring with this crystal.

Sugilite, 14 x 22 x 6 mm, weight: 20 ct., origin: Africa, internal fracture line on 1 side (can probably be sanded out). This will create a beautiful polished cab. Colors or purple and black matrix.

Combining items with 2 or more listings. If they will fit in a standard bubble package and the weight is less than 4 ounces I will ship them with no extra charges.

Finishing your slabs: My recommendation, start with 325 diamond grit and finish with 600 grit before polishing. I have created several posts that show how I create cabs, see my website blog on Designsbyshirl.com.

I use a full spectrum 45 w light bulb - photography photo CFL 5500K. It's a daylight balanced pure white light. All pictures taken dry.

An 18 mm dime and 10 mm background squares in some pictures should help you with image sizing.
