This coin is worn in areas probably caused by heavy use many years ago. Through internet research I've found the best match for this bronze coin. It will make a nice addition to your collection and would make a unique pendant or ring with the focal side the horse and rider or the bull.

This coin probably commemorates the pastime of Thessalonian sport of bull wrestling. The game requires a young nobleman or “toreador” to leap from his galloping horse and wrestle down the bull with the aid of a band passed around the horns of the bull’s head.

My coins are cleaned electronically of the mud and dirt to make them more presentable for jewelry, display, and to help in identification. I can only guarantee they are authentic through my research. Please read the following.

AUTHENTICATION

If you have a report on the coin that states all the particulars of the coin and attests to the authenticity, shows pictures of both the front and back, that type of report today costs $38-$65, and it would be from someone that is authorized to certify a coin. Today, the NGC (Numismatic Guaranty Corp) has stepped up to become the leading grading firm in the Ancient coin market.

I purchased my coins in auctions from respected dealers that guaranteed they were authentic or were dug up in areas where authentic coins were being found by licensed excavators, mainly in foreign countries. I normally had to clean the coins when I got them. I then researched them on the internet and in books in order to identify them. As for counterfeit coins, they have been around as long as the original and probably very hard or impossible to identify, as for fakes, most copies are poorly made and most times easy to identify To help with identifying some of my coins I used internet sites that show fakes along side the originals and point out the differences.

We state they are authentic, in the unlikely event that a coin I sell is later identified as a fake or counterfeit, I will refund your cost of the coin, including shipping, and I will forward info on the coin to several sites on the Internet that list and show coins that are fakes or counterfeit.

My pictures: I use a full spectrum 45 w light bulb - photography photo CFL 5500K. It's a daylight balanced pure white light.

An 18 mm dime and 10 mm background squares in some pictures should help you with image sizing.
