Origin: Brazil, Oregon

Material: Citrine with Geothite in quartz, Dendritic Smoky Quartz, Stinkwater white plume agate

Characteristics: All natural, preformed / prefinished to help make it easier for you to finish. Nice size for cabs or finish and keep as specimens, scarce and unique rough slabs. No open fractures only several small pits. These will make beautiful finished cabs.

Flame Agate preformed slab, 21 x 37 x 5 mm, 48 mm, natural, rare, several pits and surface fracture on the back. This is very old stock, origin is unknown but I think it had to come from Mexico where most flame agate like this has come from.

My preformed (shaped and sanded) rough slabs are small to medium size.  I cut out most or all open fractures and ugly pits.  I will try and note anything unusual in a slab (druzy, small pits, natural sealed fractures, etc.).  I sand all sides of a slab with 180-260 diamond grit so they are are ready for you to finish with a finer grit and polish.

A lot of effort went into giving you a product that will make it easier for you to finish, or keep it as a nice looking natural specimen. Contact us if you have any special requests, for a small charge we will re-shape or cut special slabs to your specifications.

FINISHING: I try and get all or most of the pits and open fractures removed and the front and back smoothed to produce a more acceptable slab for you to finish for jewelry or specimen. My recommendation for finishing my slabs is to start with 325 diamond grit and finish with 600 to-1000 grit before polishing. COMBINING: If your combined items will fit in my standard 9x7x3" bubble envelope you will only be charged for the actual weight up to 4 oz. Any shipping overage you may have paid will be returned manually before I ship your package.

PICTURES: Pictures are taken wet and dry, first 3 are wet which brings out the colors you should see in a finished product, dry ones may show imperfections, small fractures or pits. Any imperfections I think should be noted will be described in the item description above. Translucent items will have at least one picture taken with a backlight.

CAMERA LIGHT: I use a full spectrum 45 w light bulb - photography photo CFL 5500K. It's a daylight balanced pure white light.

SALES TAX: Etsy will collect sales tax if your state has a tax law requiring it, it will be added on at checkout, Etsy will send it to your state.

INSURANCE: Your package is insured if it is lost. We are not responsible if tracking shows it was delivered to your address.., the total price and weight of the package. All items going to International destinations will be sent in a Priority mail Flat Rate Box.
