Our shop's in Windsor, California, USA,  selling lapidary preformed (sanded and shaped) slabs, small specimen rough and cleaned ancient Greek and Roman coins ready for jewelry. 

Origin: Sonoma County, Calif.

Characteristics: Petrified wood bark. I'm not and expert but it does look like bark, just like the bark on the large trees in the Petrified Forest in Calistoga, Calif. it's colors are the same brown and white. I bought this 20 years ago from the Redondo Beach Rock Shop estate sale, so I'm not exactly sure where it came from, it wasn't labeled. They had a large collection of petrified wood.
