Apollo and Horse and rider ancient Bronze Greek coin, commemorates Olympic games in 356 BC 19 mm. (c5822)

I'm not sure but this is most likely created in Macedonia by Alexander II, the Great 336-323 BC. Without the legends on the coin it is difficult for me to pinpoint the creation.

Kings of Macedonia, Philip II the Great 359-336 BC. Commemorating his Olympic games victory in 356 BC. Obverse: Head of Apollo, hair bound with tainia. Reverse: Athlete on prancing horse.

Approx size: 17 mm round 3.5 mm,thick. Weight: 5.5 grams. There are legends on the reverse, if you can decipher them you will be able to pinpoint the exact creation period.

An 18 mm dime in one picture should help you with image sizing.

Apollo is the god of light and the sun, truth and prophecy, medicine, healing, and plague, music, poetry and the arts, and more. Apollo is the son of Zeus and Leto, and has a twin sister, the chaste huntress Artemis.

If you have a report on the coin that states all the particulars of the coin and attests to the authenticity, shows pictures of both the front and back, that report would have cost a minimum of $40, and it would of come from an accredited dealer that is authorized to evaluate a coin. I can see the necessity for a certificate if the coin is of a great value, but not inexpensive coins (coins under $200). I normally had to clean the coins when I got them. I then researched them on the internet and in books in order to identify them. If your worried about your coin being a counterfeit or copy, don't be, counterfeit coins have been identified from as far back as the time the originals were made, even experts would have a hard time identifying a lot these types of coins, as for fakes, most copies are poorly made and are easy to identify To help with identifying some of my coins I used internet sites that show fakes along side the originals and point out the differences.
